OUR VISION

We will promote dignity, equality and safe working conditions for all people across our value chain until fair incomes and respect for human rights are the norm.

TAKING RESPONSIBILITY, FOR OURSELVES – AND EACH OTHER.

We’re working intensively on various social projects because we, as an organization, find it vital to utilize our position to take responsibility and provide aid where needed. In our collaboration with HERprojects, we have been able to take action and make a significant difference through our supportive initiatives.

 EMPOWERING WOMEN'S LIVELIHOODS

Of the thousands of workers in our supply chain, approximately 80% are women. As part of the apparel manufacturing industry, we have the potential to make significant improvements to gender equality, which is why we have supported 100,000 women in Tier 1 factories to achieve workplace empowerment and improved life skills. BESTSELLER, VERO MODA’s parent company, has indeed become a Catalyst Member and strategic partner of BSR HERproject™, accelerating our journey to supporting women in garment factories.

The HERproject™ is an initiative run by Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) that develops tailor-made workplace education programs that increase well-being, confidence, and economic potential of low-income women working in global supply chains. We have been a part of this partnership program in Bangladesh, India, Cambodia and Pakistan.

In March 2021, we achieved our Fashion FWD women’s empowerment goal, reaching 100,000 women through different programs – four years ahead of schedule. With a new ambitious target on the way, we will continue to work with HERproject™ to empower even more women in our supply chain. We also helped develop HERessentials, an app that provides critical information on health, financial resilience, and strategies for managing relationships and handling stress.
